CAN I LIVE A RELIGIOUS LIFE AS A FEMINIST?
Our Discussion will be based on the book "Faithfully Feminist: Jewish, Christian and Muslim Women on Why We Stay."
On Sunday, March 13, there will be a discussion by four women of different faiths on reconciling their faith with their feminism.
Presenters include:
· Reverend Sara Baron, 1st United Methodist Church, Schenectady
· Doctor Mussarat Chaudhry, Islamic Center of the Capital District and Al-Hadiya Center, Latham
· Sister Carol Davis, O.P., Dominican Retreat and Conference Center, Niskayuna
· Rabbi Debora Gordon, Congregation Berith Sholom, Troy
· Moderator Rabbi Miriam Midlarsky-Lichtenfeld of Congregation Agudat Achim, Niskayuna, Judaic Studies teacher at HACD
The event will be held at Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union Street, Niskayuna, New York. A dairy luncheon will be served at 1:00 p.m., followed by the discussion at 1:45 p.m.
Reservations must be in by Monday, March 7.
The fee for the luncheon is $18.00; the student fee is $10.00
